Hi, i'm potentially looking at getting a set of 10ft 2 piece Ballistas made up in 2.75 tc. Can i get some reviews from owners please?
ideally want to get some feedback as to the action of this particular blank along with what reel balances nicely ect.

I have had ballistas for 20 years ,wouldn't use anything else, I have the 2 1/2 tc as I use a boat or wade wherever possible so no need to cast.
I have had numerous 40s on them and when using braid you get a good playing action without damage to mouths.

Excellent blanks mate i must have built 100s of these never had one back , i use them and prefer the action to these than the torrix 2.75 stalker, beautiful smooth bending blank , i actually use them for piking also in a boat never had any hookpulls from this very forgiving blank, dont go above 30ml butt ring .

I use okuma interceptors on pike rods , ss 2600 on the carp rods , i have used emblem 5000t aswell and they were nicely balanced .

I have used the 10ft 2.75lbs for a few years now having tried other 10ft'ers and the ballistas are really nice blanks. They will go proper through to the handle when the situation calls for and IMHO that is perfect for a close range rod.
As for reels I have 6000D baitrunners on mine which balance ok and arn't cumbersome.

Hey Jeff! Have cheekily sent u a PM re these blanks as I'm about to attempt my first build on them (first build I've ever done, not just on the ballista 😩😂

I've been using mine for around 9 years now . For me they are the ultimate short players rod. I use 5500 ci4's on mine and have done since I first got the rods.

I was led to believe the sweet spot in the Ballista range was the 11ft 3lb test curve rods?
My set is the 12ft 3.25tc Ballista's, I dread to think how old they are. Only the duplon handles let them down, but mostly used for Pike fishing nowadays.

Got to agree, I love the ballista range. Have a set of 10ft 2.75 blanks at home waiting to be built currently. Have some 2.5's I use for floater fishing too.
