Good evening all,

I have joined a new syndicate this year which requires a boat to access swims (250 acres).

I have already purchased a fox 240 boat complete with a minn 45lb 12v motor but I'm cautious on what battery I should buy.

The battery will solely be used to power the boat which will be used for 1-2 miles a session (the water is 800 yards across and a mile long).

I fish super light and don't weigh a lot if weight is a factor?

Any advice would be great!

I bought a pair of cheap 86ah batteries off eBay and they're proving to be excellent. Honestly can't believe just how long a full charge lasts. I do tend to keep the speed down which apparently makes a massive difference. I'll check the brand later.
The 86ah are a lot easier to man handle about than the 110ah.

Agreed 2 reasonable 80/85Ah deep cycle marine leisure batteries would be easier to cart around, expect to pay between 50 to 65 quid each though online if you shop around.

Two 80Ah batteries is what I do.

Is money is not a issue get a lithium ion battery.
I'm waiting for them to come down in price.
They are dropping but still to much for me still.
