I'm finding jobs to do in lockdown and I've got a hard to reach plastic gutter joint that drips
I could try to source new seals for the joint but I've heard they don't always work if the gutter has slightly deformed, access is limited so replacing lengths of guttering isn't feasible . So I'm planning to dismantle, clean and reassemble the joints and use a gutter sealant. So my question is what is the best sealant? The Roof and Gutter Sealants they sell in Toolstation and Screwfix are rubber based and cost around £2.50 a tube and get mixed reviews. I'm wondering if there's a better product out there?

Can't you just put a big plant pot where the drops land?

How about the everbuild evercryl one coat instant waterproofing for roofs gutters and gulleys?.
Just brush it on if you can get to it.

Just put a new rubber in it mate, don't use any silicone or any of that **** , it won't be able to expand and contract

The gutter is directly south facing and you can really hear it as it expands and contracts. As long as the gutter hasn't deformed then new rubbers would be good if I can get them I think it's Marley Deeplflow but maybe they've changed the design over the years. Maybe I will try and contact Marley?
The reason I ask is rather than keep a multitude of different rubbers roofers use tubes of sealant but don't say what type. The obvious one is the gutter and roof sealant that I've mentioned which is semi setting butyl rubber but at £2.50 I'm wondering if it's up to it long term.
It will be fun I will have to remove a conservatory roof panel to set up the ladder, still it's got to be better than painting fence panels which I'm bored to death doing
