Does anyone know if you can still get the conversion thread so the R3 will take matrix ,solar bobbins ect ......
Got the R3 but really like my
Matrix bobbins and would like to carry on using them
I know someone has mentioned that on eBay a guy was doing a grub screw conversion but can't find anything

I hunted down my eBay purchase of these and the bloke isn't on there any more. Get some M5 stainless steel bolts and a 2ba die, cut about 5mm of 2ba thread on the end and then cut off about another 5mm of the bolt, job done, I'll have a look and see if I can get a die and do a few at work.
Edit, ordered one, I'll bang some out next week and put on here. Pm anyone who wants them so I know how many.
*** just checking, it is M5 thread on the R3 isn't it? If not it'll be M4, in which case I'll need 2ba bolts and M4 die lol***

Matrix and Solar items will go into the R3's. Nash threads won't go into Solar or Matrix kit.

So am guessing Matrix and Solar are 2ba males that fit in the R3, which must be M5 as it's a smidge bigger, hense Nash bobbin male thread won't fit in the 2ba Matrix and Solar.

Yep I think the R3 is M5 as a male 2ba (Solar) will screw into the thread but isn't quite right.
I'd love a few of the adaptors.if you manage to knock some up mate.
