looking at getting the mk3 Nevilles but wanted to confirm if they have a different tone/light/alert for back drops vs the convention run. I know my NXTR's do as well as RX's. Delkims I believe do not differentiate a normal take to a back drop? maybe someone can confirm.
Can anyone confirm how good the new Neville receiver is or the new TXI-D. My old TXI's had terrible receiver range whereas the NXTR's have been great, so I can assume the RX will be just as good.

The nevs don't have drop back indication unfortunately mate but they are superb little alarms. Far simpler than the fox alarms but the few features they do have work well. I'm unsure of actual receiver range but i fished a water a couple of years back where my rods were out of sight with bushes and other objects between me and the rods and i didn't suffer with any interference. My only advice is not to overtighten them especially on buzz bars as they're renowned for cracking at the base, I've bust a few over the years. I solved this with longer threads and a stainless locking nut so there's no pressure on the casing.

Hi mate I havent had the Neville's but I've had the txid and the reciever is spot on the only gripe I would have with it is not the range but sometimes a single bleep doesnt pick up in the reciever it can take sometimes 2 or 3 bleeps to register mind you saying that not all receivers may be like that can only go off the one I had.I did get rid of mine and went back to ntxr as i like the simplicity of them but the txid does have some great features and would recommend them hope this is helpful

I always use the Gardner Leather washers on my Nev's & have never had a cracked case On non-PosiLoc type bars. The leather compresses allowing better tightening than with a traditional rubber O ring. I Have gone back to Solar Posi-Loc buzzer bars so no need to overtighten to align now.
