Looking at getting a brolly for the coming summer, like the look of the hideout but is there something else out there which is better or just stick with it

Wychwood mhr brilliant bit of kit but if you want to spend the extra I'll recommend the tempest.. got both but use the tempest 99% of the time

Would you say it's worth spending the extra for the advanced or would you stick with the v2 for less than half the price?

I got a 2nd hand air with wrap for 250 so that covers me for all my fishing.

Second that about the mhr. Got the mk 1 and really impressed. Tbh I got it chesp, if I was to buy new I'd look at saber or cyprinus as I can't warrant spending 300+ on a bit of fabric and metal. Saw the Titan bivvy is now 750! I remember when £200 for a bivvy was bloody expensive but 750!!

Tbf my main bivvy is a Saber supra and it's the best bivvy I've had, just not the quickest to setup/dismantle that's all...wouldn't hesitate buying another item from them

Have to admit I got a Mk1 MHR Brolly for a bargain price of £60 brand new as shop wanted it gone. Can not fault it tbh! The wider skirt helps with stability when pegged down imho. Great bit of kit & I have not been impressed with a lot of Wychwood gear since the original System Select luggage way back in the early 90's!!!

i had two and the material was porus and they then discontinued it (ended up getting a hide)
shame as it had all the stuff i wanted and made from a thicker material

SORRY but thats cobblers and I dont believe that for a second mate ! I think you must be getting confused with condensation ?
as the FACT is they are manufactured with a top quality 10,000mm Hydrostatic Head HD rip stop material no way is the material porous in a million years
Wychwood brollys are some of if not the best out there
THATS WHY they come with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Then wychwood brollies are superb and I agree with OG it was likely condensation.

Maybe wait for the new wychwood tactical brolly, it's out in June. I've got the original 60inch solace and the newer 50inch MHR and both have been amazing
