How long would you stick with a particular boilie before deciding its not working for you?

The boilie I am using is from a local company cheap at 6.50 per kg and seems to get a decent amount of captures according to its social media page.

But can I get a bite.... Can I ****! I haven't changed anything except for the bait. If I compare it with cell I was catching almost every time out. Its just I couldn't justify the price!

Change it. Not every bait works on every water. Might just be not suited to where you are fishing. Maybe the water you are fishing is dominated by fishmeals and by using cell you are doing something different and it's getting you bites. Or maybe so much cells gone in that the fear factor is taken away for them. Either way you hit on a bait that's worked so try something in a similar vane. Maybe live system as it's available on deals or perhaps abs mcnut. Better still see if you can find a mainline field tester.

Also how many rod hours did it take to get all those social media pics. Maybe the bait is very average. Or a poor performer in cold water temps.
