I see that the fishspy is now reduced to £59.99. I wouldn't have wanted to pay £250, but £60 is more palatable.

Are they any good though?

I realise that the resolution is low, but that doesn't concern me...

They are OK on some waters in some conditions. I gave up the idea of casting mine out as signal can be iffy at anything over 50 yards in my experience, and it's hard work getting it out further than that

I now use mine exclusively on a bracket on my bait boat for short to medium range work. If, for example, i'm taking a rod down a weedy margin in clear water, it can certainly pick out good spots to drop the bait. If £60 isn't a hardship to you, it's definitely something worth having in your bag. All my opinion of course...

At £54 from Go Outdoors I took a gamble on one. Hopefully will help on weedy lakes and reassure me the clear spots are as clear as they feel with the marker rod.
