Evening all,

I fish Broome pits quite a bit and always go on B pit. However, I am sick of turning up on a weekend to find there is literally no swims free so want something a bit quieter and with a few bigger fish.

Thinking of giving D pit a go. Its always empty or 1 person and I've been told there's 40s in there. Anyone fished it before offer any tips or advice?

Or any other day ticket lakes nearby that hold high 30s/40s and don't get absolutely rammed.

Hi Steve.

D lake is a good option if you want quiet, stock is around 15 fish, it's far from easy though depending on angling ability your talking 0-5 fish a season, that said there is a very good chance of one of those being a goodun.
Beware of the Krays.

Day ticket venues with 30/40s in that aren't rammed are like £5 lap dances

There's no day ticket lakes local that hold that size of fish, your best bet is too get a Weybred pits ticket and fish No.1 lake but it gets rammed.

Broome has improved in the last few years with the fence going up around B and the stocking programme.
