Hi folks,
Is anybody on here fishing, or recently fished, the Nursery lake on the Farnham ticket?
Just after a bit of info really- as I'm looking for somewhere to fish, this coming season.
Is it very busy? (Both weekends, and mid week?) Any ideas on stock, etc.?

Not particularly busy but a few hard core anglers on there who really put the hours in. Not a big head of fish but some proper old warriors and an attractive place that will get you scratching your head as every swim looks good. I would start fishing it soon though as rumours are circulating that its days are numbered.

From the pictures and footage I've seen, it really does look the part!

Rumours - FAS taking islands out and chopping trees down...
Get a ticket and just walk it! you'll learn their habits..keep your head down and quietly get on with it. Keep captures to yourself or you'll never get in the same zone again! believe me. There are eyes everywhere on that complex.

Oh, it seems a shame, if that's the case!
I think once all of this virus stuff settles down a bit, I'll just take a punt on a ticket. It's hardly breaking the bank if it doesn't work out!
Can anybody suggest other waters on the ticket, that might be worth a look? Just looking for somewhere that's relatively quiet- where I don't just have to squeeze in the last remaining swim each week. The fish don't have to be monsters, if they're nice and I like to work a bit for them?

Quiet .....Warren takes me back to venues I fished 40 odd years ago ,almost untouched by man , just pleasant to be their , the fish are mainly doubles so doesnt see many anglers in search of their PB.

Hmm, not sure FAS waters and "quiet" go hand in hand.....they have a massive membership which definitely takes its toll on how busy the lakes are. But good value for money if you can fish midweek.

I've had a Farnham ticket for 20+ years. Great choice of waters and great value it is .... Quiet it is not.
Nursery is the least fished of the 3 (Match. Copse and Nursery are close together) although weekends are busy with people who cant find swims on the others.
Nursery looks beautiful but is definitely not an easy water. I have heard the rumours of work to be carried out in the future but they are only rumours. I believe the club are to identify swims and maybe number them as some swims are not well defined. I guess that will involve a chainsaw.

I don't think I worded the post very well. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting empty banks. Just somewhere where I'm not having to make do with whatever is left, time after time, as the waters are a little bit of a drive from me.
For the price of the ticket, I think I'll grab one and see how it goes.

Problem is the whole of the yateley complex needs some serious work on it, alot of trees need removing and oxygen levels need to be addressed

Having to make do with whats left mainly applies to the Match and to some extent South Lake , better during the week .
Their other waters are general y fine and you'll find a swim you like .

we've also found swims on Nursery even when we pop over for a morning. There aren't a lot of swims but due to not being a runs water it is probably the quietest on the complex. followed by copse, Match and South in warmer months will be quite full. Winter a lot better, most of the time pretty empty, Have a look at Mill lane, as you have to book on you can guarantee a swim no matter what day.

Glad I found this post, I've just joined and looking to spend quite a bit of time on nursery I think. Will be mainly widweek so I'm hoping I can get a peg every week 😂😂
