I have a 24v lipo4 battery decent sized one and was hoping it could be used in a home made battery pack with some lights etc.

Is this possible?

Just charging the usual phone, iPad and lights etc.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Yes it should be no problem, use a decent size 24v dc to 12v dc step down converter like a buck type one or you can buy a buck converter with usb outlets on the pc board if needed

Might be worth considering during the colder months that Lipo batteries do not perform well in the cold.

Dont get out a great deal in winter so would be no need for it then. Mainly for France trips and longer sessions in the summer months

Looks ok yes but myself personally I would go for something like this with multiple outlets up to 6amp rating just in case one of the usb outlets went wrong ...
