Is it just me or is there quite a few Pioneer 100's coming up for sale second hand. Everyday they are popping up on Ebay
Is there a fault with them, was seriously considering one

The 100 is really low and not much use able room once bedchair is in.I think the tempest is a far better design and more space inside

Tempest is the evolution of the pioneer like CM said and makes for more room, easier set up and stronger design! Why anyone would want a pioneer is beyond me?! Bit like someone choosing between an old dome tent and when the first armadillo was released......

I won't swap my v2 bivvy for one that's for sure.Then again I would not buy the trakker again at the prices,now others on the market at half the price

I looked again at the pioneer at NAS. From the front it looks the nuts, then you walk round and see the ridiculous sloping back giving limited space, then factor in faffing about setting up four storm poles. Then even if you look past all this the price of them is mental. For me I'd go for a tempest, typhoon, quest block design all day long over one. What I would say the build quality is superb. Every seem and tape etc on the one they had set up was perfect.

I have also looked at one of these in the flesh.
Dam fine quality product but the weight, set up time and price is beyond ridiculous.
I have a V1 Tempest brolly and it's been my best ever shelter apart from the height. Its getting a bit tatty and well worn and will probaly replace with something similar.
