Trakker released the Armo V4 series in 2019 and in 2020 the Tempest 100 and 150 Advanced models.
In difference to the older models there is an optional Innner Capsule available voor both the Armo V4 as the Tempest 100 and 150 Advanced.
My question; does the inner capsule give the same protection against condensation as a winter wrap?
Inner capsule is cheaper then a winter wrap and you don't have to peg them out.
And also Trakker did not yet released any winter wraps for the Tempest 100 & 150 Advanced.
If they even are releasing any...
So I'm wondering what would be better?
Maybe some Trakker SLX3 users have some advice because this model has also an innner capsule.

Winter wrap or skull cap for me mate, I've tried the capsules I find them useless and annoying, they don't help with condensation in my opinion it just stops it dripping on you so you don't notice it as much.

Im my experience an inner capsule is no where near as good as a skull cap
they both work to a degree but the skull cap wins it for me

I was told that a Wrap will have a certain amount of air flow between the two ,thus reducing the condensation ,whereas
the inner capsule has no air flow, so condensation will form but to a lesser degree than if you dont have one .

Like the Inner capsule no bugs and no leaks if it's a full capsule. Vapour shield types IMO a little less attractive
Wrap is always best as the air gap Creates either warmer or colder when required and means you only potentially need to dry the wrap out and not the whole bivvy in most cases.
Have both is the best of both worlds
Also additional groundsheet helps and makes packing away a muddy wet built in one a thing of the past

I have a V3 with inner capsule which sits on top of a heavy duty ground sheet supplied with the system, as said winter skin is the way forward for best results but the inner capsule although as stated about only masking the condensation does help to reduce how bad it is without it in place, I have used it without the inner capsule and as you would imagine it is definitely worse than not having it in place, as stated the main benefit of the inner capsule is zipping yourself in when the mozzies are bad.
I have a V2 with Skull cap which works well until you get below the level of the skull cap and essentially the single skin from there to the floor it is sill like a damp cave but stops the condensation directly above you.

I have the inner capsule, it does make a difference to the condensation and as others have said is great for keeping out any creepy crawlies with the benefit of and enclosed system in the bivvy, I also had a winter wrap on an Armo and that was also a great addition. Both are good and suit individual requirements1

I have had the Skull cap and winter wrap for the Tempest and find the wrap far better, its compact and literally its 30 seconds to fire over brolly loops onto original pegs and an additional 4 pegs at front and perfect protection
