Any recommendations for one of the dna baits from now through spring?

S7 for me. I use this bait most of the year but during the hotter months I use the SLK. The SLK is by far my favourite bait but during the winter/spring months I use S7

I know people that use SLK all year round though

I use the SLK and have had some fantastic fish using it. Just had 20kl delivered to start using in a few weeks time.

Just to confuse matters. I've just ordered the nutta-s In two sizes for spring which I'm going to mix up with 12mm switch. My waters have seen a lot of nut type baits over the years and still see a lot of manilla so that swayed my decision.

For summer I think I'm going to use slk in two sizes with 12mm s7 and a lot of they hydro spods

I'll be doing similar to Greg (Boo) but leaning more to the S7 throughout the year as I had alot of trouble last season with cats and was thinking that maybe the Liver in the SLK was attracting them to much ?

Out of interest Greg, why do you swap over to S7 during the colder months?

It's more a case of swapping over to the SLK in warmer months mate

I love the S7 and it's done me well all year round so has been my main bait. A friend of mine took SLK to France one year in August and out fished us on S7 and Nutta. That's not to say the fish wasn't mostly in front of him etc but the difference was notable. I changed to the SLK in the warmer months as it's an out and out fishmeal bait and is “my kind of bait” colour and smell wise.

It's a confidence thing really and I like the idea of the natural, out and out fishmeal baits for the hotter parts of the year and then in the cooler months I go back to my usual S7

I haven't got any scientific reasons for it and it's just something I've found from my own fishing and I'm sure there's people that will have the opposite opinion to me.

I've used the Nutta and done ok but not found it anywhere as successful as SLK and S7. Switch I just couldn't get on with at all but at the time it was when it first came out and was fishing a really hard lake so wasn't really a fair situation to compare it to the others. I would like to give the Switch another fair crack of the whip but with the success I've had with the S7 and SLK I can't see it happening lol

The test bait on the other hand I will definitely give a good go but that's another story

Still a little way off at the moment I've heard, something to do with getting the consistency of the proteins or something 🤷🏻‍♂️ Looks a nice bait though from what I've seen on previous batches

There is something about the S7 I really like.I have always done well on baits containing robin red so I hope changing over to dna turns out to be a good move

I've been on it for about 5 years now and can't see me changing anytime soon as they have such a great range of products. Will be worth seeing if there is a distributor in your area as you will save on the cost of your bait.

I have a local distributor, who happens to be a good mate of mine, and the prices are cheaper than the DNA website

Ah right, makes sense. I am going to be using SLK this year, just ticked all the boxes for me and also the fact that most people use the S7 I like to go the other way but that's just me, I must be one of the only people in the country that's never used the Cell
