Hi, has anyone fished / stayed at Egret Lodge on Cherry Pool, Part of Cherry Lakes complex in Cotswolds ?
If so, was it any good ?

Fished cherry lake many times agree it's pricy but meant I got extra trips in with taking the misses .Fishing wise it varied from blanking to being run after run .The place goes from seeming rock hard impossible to ridiculously easy they just seem to switch proper on and off when I have been Caught some gorgeous carp including 2 over 35lb Often gone out for the day with the wife being my forefit for booking which may have helped resting the swim as had some good hits of fish when other swims have been quiet.Great set up owner is spot on as well

Fished the main lake 3 times, my mate likes it there but it's pricey.. but lovely to have your own place on the side of the lake. Ideal if you want to take the missus away and go fishing at the same time. Not my thing as you can't move!
I've never had a fish from there as the fish really seem to react to the weather (well that's what we found on our trips)
But if you have the cash it's worth a look at

A lovely place, but your paying for a holiday rather than fishing, as others have said, it can be very moody at times, lot's of people blank!

I done 5 days there 3 years ago in early april,ife and kids stayed in the cottage,I bivvied up in the cottage swim as the cottage is too far away from the water to sleep in there and do nights.
on arrival there was a lovely breeze pushing down to my end of the lake and it looked spot on for a bite,rods out onto one of the bars and had 1 within the first 2 hours. lost one that evening and in the or I g the wind swung round and I didnt have another touch.
mrs and kids loved the cottage,hot tub was nice.
enjoyed the break,nice and safe. would definitely go back.
