Fished Ashley when lea valley first opened it in 2002 ish, imo one of the best looking waters In the valley.
BUT what could have been a very special water was unfortunately ruined with the most hideous looking stock of carp.
Such a shame because LV had a blank canvas with Ashley and filled it with deformed busted rib football shape pigs.

Are there any cray fish or bream in there seen some of the stocking pictures fish looked ok but i have heard there are some munters in there

Id assume Crays mate as the LV is absolutely full on them.
Proper munters in there from what ive seen, check out the LV FB Page - few pics on there of recent ones.

Caught the odd tench on my time on Ashley but no bream, didn't have crays back then but that may well of changed.
Saying that the nazeing complex is running alive with crays but Brackens pool still remains Cray free.

Afternoon chaps just thinking of joining Ashley what people's thoughts on trouble over there do anyone fished it lately and can help
Am only 5 min drive alway and really want to join and spend my time on there without issues

its generally a hard place to fish. you have to find the carp.
they tend to hang on the gravel bar going the length between the two islands.
pre baiting helps
find the gravel spots near the islands. big bed of stinky bait - grains/boilies etc. not too many smaller fish in there.
very few decent swims to fish from. but the point is the best. fish to the tree line in front of you
funny looking carp upto mid 40s in there.
its generally a hard place to fish. you have to find the carp.
