Recently got one of these for day sessions, mainly pike at this time of year, my old jrc oval stealth finally gave up after 10years service, and no longer available.
Thought the sliding storm pole attachments looked flimsy, 3 trips out and ones broken, absolute garbage. Lucky enough a standard storm pole attachment can be put in its place, and the remaining flimsy attachment broken off.
Going to be a lot of these returned.

You Hi just seen your post, I've got one these cheap enough but as you say the click lock storm poles are a poor concept, I spoke with Fox but they weren't interested, can you tell me (any photos?) how you changed it to a standard design as I'm sure it's going to break!

Will the umbrella ribs accept standard umbrella Storm Pole Caps?
They should slide on to the rib and can be locked in place with the grub screw/s.

I should have taken mine back to the shop for a refund, really poor design and build.
