Looking for a new water for next season, doesn't need to have big'uns in?
Some of their waters look lovely, are they all rammed?

I'm a member of Lymms anglers, they have a good few waters from 1-2 acre runs waters to large meres.....
The runs waters are popular but not as busy as some would have you belive.... I've only once in 7 years struggled to get a peg on the water I wanted to fish.....
They do get some bad press on social media, but most of it is by exmembers whom have been caught breaking the rules and banned, then have gone on to slag the club off.....
They also get bad press regarding the bailiffs being like the gestapo...but it's untrue most of the bailiffs are fine and will pass on info when asked........ They are making a concerted effort to change the image protayed on social media to a more positive one.....
They are also making an effort to get with the times and allow 3 rods on the larger waters and have recently started to allow bait boats.....
For the small yearly fee its Definatley worth the money, especially if you compare to day ticket waters.....if you do 24hrs once a week you'll have paid for your ticket in 2 months......
The normally do a deal this time of year ....(the normal ticket runs for 12 months from January) so you pay for the year and get to fish from the start of December and don't have to renew until January 2021....... They also have a grace period in January as it's just after xmas so you don't have to renew until the 31st Jan.....
They have a few waters with fish to over 30lb which is pretty good if you live up north....

I was on Lymm for a while whilst studying up in Liverpool, I have to admit it was a few years ago.
There are some lovely waters to fish, with some lovely fish. A good mix as well. Some of the waters have decent cats in if that floats your boat.
As with all clubs there are differing opinions on what is the most important aspect of the club, match, carp etc. There was some argument that committee favoured match angling and carp anglers were almost tolerated, as opposed to welcomed, however I really didn't feel this to be the case.
As mentioned, there was also accusations of bailiffs being over zealous. Again I never experienced this, I fact the opposite. On the waters I fished I actually found them great contacts. If you are that way, I'd advise joining, I almost think, I could still give it a whirl from here as it seems I am going to have to travel to get some decent fishing anyway!! I don't think you would be disappointed.

a couple of venues are 24 hr only , think shakley mere is 72 hr , fished a lot on lymmvale for the tench some. nice carp in there. it does get rammed at weekends on there.

have only fished catchpenny a couple of times, it's quite deep, lovely looking lake,fish do show themselves,yellow popups work quite well,my mate had a 33 lb common ,had a walk around top pool today,looks a decent water, my only gripe in joining was having to pay £50 to use a baitboat, a scam really
