Gonna be purchasing a new rod pod guys narrowed it down to these 2 just cant decide between them, any pros or cons to either ? I know the nano hasnt been out that long , how are people getting on with it?

Have heard great things about the Jag nano! I love my solar stainless but really for compactness and lightness you probably you can't go too wrong with this one.

Cheers for the reply, yea the Jag does look good and I know its lighter as the solar is stainless, weight isnt really an issue to be honest as the pod will be on the Barrow either way, the Jag 2+1 buzzbars could be the deal breaker though not fully decided yet still though.q

The nano is a great bit of kit. Small pack down, light weight, good for two or three rod set ups. Can be anchored in various ways depending on where you set it up. As you've said the 2+1 bars really make it.

They are both good pods I was in the same position the other week, I had a good look at both pods and ended up with the p1 low profile as it suited my style of fishing more. Plus I think it looks better and It's really versatile. The Only down side is the weight but that doesn't really bother me.

After years of using jag sticks and buzz bars and struggling on some very hard banks to get them in l was made up when the nano pod was released a really good pod and also got the 2+1 bars with most of my fishing been on smallish estate type lakes and many with a 2 rod limit this was it a great pod which suited both 2 and 3 rods, love it to bits, how ever l would of liked a couple more inches height wise on the rear bankstick to give abit more clearance on the reels from the main bar yes l know l could buy a jag bankstick abit longer but not sure it would look right and after spending nearly 400 don't think l should have too.

The reason it's that length is because it's the inner from a stage bite. The idea being that you can anchor it using the stagebite rather than screwing or pegging through the pod legs.
It's all interchangeable. So if you had say a sleeper at the front of a gravel swim, you can choose not to use the pod legs at all, stagebite the front upright to secure the pod, then instead of the pod legs on the rear, fit two banksticks to give more height, or switch the stage bites around to Jack the front up to get the tips higher to get over marginal weed etc. On really soft ground you can ditch the stage bite uprights and as you've said swop for 9” or even 11l sticks and drive them right in if the grounds too soft to peg the legs.

Yes get your point mate, not knocking it at all worth every penny to me especially with the 2+1 buzz bars a decent pod which will suit 2 rods which l use 90% of the time

I didn't think you were, I was just pointing out why the uprights are shorter than on some other pods. I think it's a great little pod.

Cheers for the replies , I'm still undecided as they both look like great, I will let yas know what I end up eventually going with, I'm gonna have a good look at both when i next go to the tackle shop.

Just digging this up to ask - any jag micro / nano users..... is there an issue with the upright twisting / is there a mechanism to stop this??
