Right so I've finally made up my mind and decided to get the more expensive boat of my choices the waverunner sport. Was considering the shuttle, the atom or the lake reaper but decided on the sport.
Does anyone have one of these? Good or bad points im about to buy friday morning so would like to no in advance

I had the sport and sold it the back end sit lower in the water so the hopper filled with water , spare batteries are expensive for it over £150 as their lithium . I now have the shuttle had it for nearly 2 years and been very happy with it cheaper batteries as their sealed lead acid and don't have the problem with the hopper filling up with water at the back as it sits level in the water

Oh really? Didnt think that would happen but yeah if that happens maybe I shouldn't get it now then, the shuttle seems to be out of stock everywhere though.
What's the battery life like on the shuttle?

I have had a sport since they came out, spare batteries? I get at least 5 hours from mine that's a lot of putting baits out without charging so I don't need to buy spare batteries.
Its a lot lighter than a shuttle with the batteries fitted, I never actually remove my batteries even when charging at home. I had a shuttle that also had water ingress into the hopper, when going forward the back also got water in it!!! The front of the sport seems to stay dry although again when motoring forward water will get in the hopper, they aren't high enough above water level not too.
The main differences between the shuttle and the sport are the speed sending the baits out, weight and access to the battery area and motherboard. you can actually adjust the trim on the motherboard rather than on the handset so set it up to run fairly straight, they are small so never really run true.
I initially added a TF500 sonar to mine as comes fully wired for one and with removable lid was easier to fit and cheaper than having Waverunner fit one.
Is it worth the extra money, don't know had both prefer sport.
ps anyone ever seen a Shuttle exploded it sounds like a bomb going off, mate had his blow up on local syndicate I was on the lake behind and had to go and see what the explosion was, all I say if it had been on land it would of maimed him. reason we believe was charging without removing the covers. But it did go off like a bomb, believe any lead acid battery can do the same.

Thanks for this mate, I do like the look of the sport and prefer it tbh. I wouldn't use it much just in certain swims so it wont get used alot.
The battery life seems perfect could get alot done with that.
Bloody hell that dont sound good at all, when you say charging without removing the covers do you mean he charged them while still inside the boat? Sorry if that's wrong or a stupid question never had a boat before

Hi I recently went through the same dilemma. Went for a carpmate pro lithium off eBay in the end. Identical to shuttle, full spec lithium, autopilot and echo for half the price of a waverunner. Exactly the same boat from the same factory
They also do a model called navimate which is a rebadged sport

All the waverunner boats can be got cheaper, waverunner simply buy them direct and stick their labels on them if you look around some china sites.
As for exploding shuttle, it was the screw cover model, mate used to just take home charge and bring back, I wouldn't of believed it myself but was on the the lake that backs on. literally blew the whole deck off handle and everything. There was a warning on my wave runner about not leaving the lid on when charging or in direct sun light due to the gasses the batteries give off.

I've had an atom for years and it's been faultless, great little boat with good battery life. Only change was swapping the props to brass ones I got off ebay, added a bit of speed and I only changed them as managed to break one of the original plastic ones.

Everything looks perfect except the hopper size and not being able to lay a rig out flat. So hard to find one that ticks all the boxes. The ND one looks really gd but out of stock with the chirp built in. Could buy a deeper separately and fit?

I've never had a problem with the rig in the hopper and have rarely filled it either. The second that hopper opens and the lead drops quickest, it doesn't matter how the rig was laid out, it is now in a straight vertical line until that lead hits bottom.
