I just called to see what was happening with my order (3items) and they've let me order stuff they don't have stock for. One part of my order is coming in, in four days and another part of my will be mid January which I've told them to refund if they can't sort it within a week.
Definitely worth a call to see what they're upto...

that is normal practice nowdays... 1st it prevents you to order from competition on bf and 2nd it is payed in advance (as not many cancel order)... basically everyone is doing that unfortunately...

my mate ordered a Nash MF60 bedchair during their last 20% off deal, it was out of stock and eventually came 3 months later, he could have cancelled and ordered from somewhere else at full price but chose to wait.
I ordered the Titan Hide Camo XL from VR on the 26th with 20% off knowing full well it is a pre-order, might take a couple of months to get to me but again, that's my choice to secure it at a lower price. Not sure when they are even due into the country...!

I made 2 orders on the 26th and 27th. Received part of my first order last week sometime but not heard anything about the item missing or my second order. Was nothing I'm in a rush for and one item of my second order was a pre order so they may well be hanging onto the rest of my order to ship out altogether (although most people send what they have and pre order at a later date)

Was the same last year but when I ordered over the phone the lady said the items were not in stock so may take a couple of weeks to be sent out. I was happy to wait to get Basia Spare spools at great price of £35 each...
Probably made worse this year as the manufacturers are low stock generally.

Just found out from Nash that the Hide XL Camo will not be arriving until early 2021....they didn't say how early but I would personally class "early" as anything up to end of March although obviously it could arrive sometime in January. Either way VR will have had my money, (over £400) for anything from 6 weeks to 4 months by the time I get it so the choice is mine whether i just wait it out knowing i have saved 20% or I cancel and wait until they are definitely in stock before ordering again....
As you can imagine with everything going on its chaos in the shop They are taking deliveries in on a daily basis and unpacking them and shipping things straight out to you guys.They are not shipping part orders unless the value of the item being shipped is worth the cost of the courier or you have stated its needed quickly.They are happy to give a refund if you cannot wait for your item,but if they are waiting on the suppliers then there is not much they can do.The couriers and postal service are miles behind on times,so your item might have left Vale and be on its way.Give them a call and im sure they will be able to give you an answer and resolve the issue

I personally don't agree with taking someone's money on the pretence it's in stock then having to chase them to find out it's not coming in until mid January.

I suppose I was pretty lucky by looking at this thread I ordered a far bit from 2 different shops on Black Friday had both orders by last Tuesday I can fault that

I ordered a rod sleeve from Vale Royal on black Friday. Arrived last week but unfortunately wrong item. Contacted them and received correct item today and a return label for the wrong one. So apart from the initial mistake I would say thats pretty good service !

Very lucky,its not just shops struggling but also couriers and royal mail.We have had about 5 different postmen in last 2 months due to all this covid
