We at Fishing Ferry would also like to announce that in the event the government restrict travel from Dover to Calais we will issue a credit for future travel or a full refund.
We hope that travel doesn't get restricted and people can still go on their carp fishing holiday to France but if it did we are here to help in anyway we can.
Thanks
Fishing Ferry

its just telling the truth ...no one knows how this will turn out ...i am only now allowed out to get food and medication and have just spent 3hrs queuing to get my meds ....i managed to get a weeks worth ( we are in 15days lockdown ) and the only chemist i can use will probably shut on monday as it will have run out o f most meds !!!!! ....the super market has been stripped bare already so we are in uncharted territory now ....and i am guessing that France and England will follow suit within a few days ..so going on holiday fishing will be last thing on peoples minds

Chunnel has sent us an email saying our tickets will be valid for a year in case we need to move dates,
Very much doubt I'll get anything back from the venue though

Bill's Lake has also posted...
We have taken a decision here at Bill's Lake to put our angler's minds at rest about their forthcoming holidays.
If the borders are closed due to Coronavirus and you are unable to travel out on your due date of departure, we will either;
- Move your holiday to a date later in the year where possible;
- Move your holiday to next year; or
- Make a full refund
All payments due must continue as normal up until the date of your holiday. Of course we hope it will not come to this and that you will be able to come and enjoy your holiday with us as planned. Looking forward to seeing you all soon, stay safe and wash your hands!

With the french government announcing that all none essential businesses open to the public must close how does this impact private lakes such as the ones we are all booked on?
I'm hoping as they are exclusively booked privately and not open to the general public that they are not included?
Can any lake owners clarify please?

For those traveling to Belgium if I saw correctly (somebody form belgium correct me if I misunderstood) all fishing competitions and gatherings are cancelled... you are allowed to fish but only alone, not 2 persons together in bivy etc... it is valid for open and private waters... just for info...

If you look at most fisheries websites/Facebook it's like Corona virus isn't happening. No mention of it.
Bit of a shocker imo.
If they are told to close their doors to visitors then how can they not refund people?

Surely it is like any other holiday that gets cancelled because of the Government's actions - you claim off your insurance. Is every airline, hotel etc refunding your money?
