Well done buddy. I think that in your case it's more about the quality than the quantity.

It's really surprising how some parts of the lake just shut down, when I was there 19 was doing a few fish and I had a few on the RH side of the island too.

Do you every fish it when it's warmer, I was wondering what pegs you think are better at other times of the year, sounds like you know so much more about the lake than most do.

Im far from being an expert, just my observations

I always fish 2 weeks May/June as well. Last year for example I was in 12 and everybody told me to stay home...weather was on my side and the fish still kept around the peg and I cought.

For me,so called ‚top pegs' getting burnt out and same goes with hot spots. Sometimes when you use prodding stick in these spots you actually hitting the leads, not the firm ground

Sumer pegs again...if its warm or pre spawning and you're in 21- you may have problem to keep 4 rods in water! People catch sixty! fish a week sometimes...thats few years worth for me

If you want to know anything else just ask. I'll try to help or at least put you in a right direction

I fished 12 in May 2017. First and only time on the lake. Everyone said we would struggle but the anglers from the week before did not turn up so it had been rested for a week. Ended up with 10 fish between us including a pb twice for me and 1 for my partner.

Blimey Rich, I never knew it was that easy there, I have never seen you catch so many fish in a week and I have been on a lake a few times with you!

Happy New Year to you and Pat! x

Happy new year to you too, not forgetting Kathy of course. I thought I'd told you what we had. I had 7 fish and Wayne had 3. Biggest was 67lb to me. I fished on the left of the swim.

It's looking like it might be November before I get the chance to go back, if at all, so I've now resigned to the fact that there isn't much point in me asking how pegs around the lake fish in the warmer months

But thanks for all you help guys

I think thats the beauty and key to this lake(and probably few others)...no matter whats happening around the lake, whats the weather like, you can get a take of 70 or 80 pounder any minute

Good luck

I'll second that, tried for ages to get a trip.

Then eventually a mate who has been going for ages took me because his regular partner had to drop out at the last minute.

You would be bettor off trying to find someone that fishes there and jump in on a trip if you can

I've just read through all my posts on this thread, I'm never going to get a prize for my writing skills

You need a friend who has regular weeks booked over a year and try to get on one. And most bookings are for 2 weeks. Great place to fish.

My mate is supposed to be there for two weeks in June, I think that he has resided to to fact that I ain't going to happen.

He is sure that Pascal won't have opened the lake back up by then, even if he does, the borders will still probably be shut.

I've got a trip in November, I'm preying that all this Covid-19 ***** will be over by then
Are you sure?
