After a lot of thought and reasearch I ordered a bloxx compact last night from total fishing .com £148 inc next day delivery absolute bargain .just hope Ive made the right choice it ticks all the right boxes can be used for many applications and quick to put up looks like a good waterproof Rating on it too .just debating if I should get a wrap to match now or not .anyone else using a wrap with they're bloxx compact?

I have put the wrap on my 1 man in the garden but not used it as of yet when out.
Interested to see what it is like as a 3/4 wrap too, forget you could do that

Haven't had my wrap out of its bag yet lol, will be next month though as on a week long session. Does this talk of 3/4 wrap mean that the wrap has a zip off front then??
Regarding your comment of the porch fittings being tight and making it easier, I concur that was the bit i struggled with at first, but now realise that to 'fan it out' you need to muscle the two front short poles into the block (or shall we say bloxx
), then kinda get hold of the straps that needs to go onto the metal pin and just roll it over with my fingers. Those short poles will take a bit of bending to allow it to slip on and i find that easy now. And i have those two straps set to shortest all the time (rather than slackening and tightening each time i use it) and it's no problem.
All just down to practice really, only done a couple of nights under mine so far

i have found the front poles difficult to get it but i am " fanning it out " first then trying to get them in.. Do I need to do it the other way around, bend them in first and then "fan out the rest?
I also found tighting the straps for peak a struggle at first got sorted that now.
I have bought a couple of army andy rod straps to resolve the no rod strap issue too.

I fan it as much as i can first, then man-handle those short poles into the block. Once those are in it all seems to stand up ok. I'm sure they will give and free up a little after a few up and downs, but from my first ever set up attempt (which took a while lol), to popping it up Friday just gone, was a much more efficient process

It does get much much easier. My first attempt was like krypton factor, but put it up like a doddle now. I lay the brolly lengthways on my bed, open out the 5 legs and click them together, making sure they are not twisted or crossed over each other. I then pick it up, and standing at the from start to fan it out, and make sure the 2 small arms are placed through the mesh sleeves. As the front opens out, I then click the the arms into there fixing positions, and thread through the straps, job done.
I then peg from the back central point, working forwards to the front, as the best for getting it nice and taut.👍

Well my bloxx compact turned up today .i was there for about 40 mins in the garden earlier couldn't get to grips with it at all and getting very frustrated in the end thinking why didn't I stick to a brolly Ive bought this rubbish now ect ect ....then with a bit of force I got the front poles in job done .once I worked out how to actually put it up I can now do it in a couple of mins max if that .it really is a impressive bit of kit ,zip the front off and it's a lightweight shelter put the doors and storm poles in and it's a bivvy .cant wait wait to use it now ,I think I will order the wrap to go with it though got every scenario covered can't get over the quality for £150 .just hope it performs on the bank

I'm going to the lake this afternoon with the new Bloxx compact which I've never put up before it's literally still in the bag as it came...
Any advice on how to put it up correctly before I end up getting the hump and sleeping under the stars! lol

I've tried my best to describe how I put mine up. I would imagine compacts the same. Trust me, it's a doddle once you've sussed it👍
I've just ordered the winter wrap for mine, then that's my bivvy / brolly needs sorted for a few years, touchwood. Chuffed to bits with it so far. Doing a week in France in Nov/ Dec, so will post some pics up in use.

Put front bars in before you put tension strap on
Don't be afraid to give the peak straps a good pull to get into place.
If the poles are the same as the 1 man, they only go into one another 1 way and very easy, if not going in easy do not push, I did this and got the plastic end stuck in the other pole and had to force out with forceps ! lol
Apart from that just fan out as far as you can and go from there.

I set it up in 10 minutes first time round and packed it away in 6 mins this morning, well impressed for the money!
