Just ordered 3 of them from Hull angling for £295 + 3 free spools of shimano invizitec
. Erics was £5 more but didnt have any penns in.

Knowing what the trade price is on those, I really don't know how they justify selling them for that.

Well after reading the posts relating to these Penn reels I thought I would have a look myself.
At my local shop where I have been taking my custom since they opened I had one in front of me.
To say I was amazed is an understatement , I have had Diawa , and Shimano and still use both , but this reel for £119 even at this is a steal , I am so impressed at that price I even fancy a set.
After all if you want to catch carp at distance get three of these and spend the rest on bait

Mine arrived yesterday, spoiled them up and going to use them over the weekend.
They are super smooth, lightweight, robust and the quick drag is spot on.
Having used and still own all the top end Shimmys and Daiwa reels over the years I can see these giving them a run for their money..

Can anyone who has spooled their affinity 7000 ltd tell me how much 0.40 line they took?
Iv managed to find a spool of nash bullet xt 15lb and want to use it sparingly, say 150 yards per reel.
I just need an idea of how much backing line to put on first.
