It's a tube of plastic with two arms that lock in place when your rig is picked up the arms fling open and the clip inside shoots back so it hooks the fish.At least that's how I think it works

essentially what everyone thought it was going to be. i think it will work but i wonder if all fishery owners will like it. the difference between this and the hermit rig is this is essentially "loaded" form what i can tell.

I've just watched it. It's still going to rely massively on rig mechanics by the looks. The hook needs to take hold and put strain on the so called twig. So if the rigs set up poor and dosent initially ***** it won't work.

Tight line fishing I can't see it changing much as a heavy lead and tight line takes are normally savage.

Slack line it may work better to create a bolt effect.

Certainly don't think it was worth waiting and crying over but all the best to them

Well I've got a lot more questions than answers, though to be fair I couldn't watch the whole video. Just skipped to bits that looked kinda interesting.

I'm struggling to take the opinion of the inventor and promoter as gospel. Will be interesting to see some independent reviews in the future.

Will it cause tangles like a adjustable zig?
will it go off too quickly, like Phillip Schofield ina school?
Will have the strength to withstand snaggy conditions?
What happens when it gets dragged into silt?

I think I'll leave it for now.

Rig snapped off in lake , fish picks it up and it goes off then hooks it 🤔 , with fisheries banning plastic as it's still fishing on a lost rig imagine one that sets the hook as well .

I wonder how many accidents there will be,someone is bound to fire it off and get a rig in their hand

Well he confirmed that it's a self striking rig. I've banned all self striking rigs at my place. I feel that could inflict damage on soft mouthed fish and really doesn't feel right to me.

what the video showed was a very neat all perfectly lay presentation on a very clean bottom, what if the "magic twigg" is sat vertical.

also if you crack off and the fish dumps the lead off the lead clip, there's now more plastic to risk getting caught up in weed and snags.

Surely if you chuck one of these out with bag of pellets on the hook it will go off in mid air? Can't see it beating a very sharp hook and heavy lead anytime soon. It's a no from me.

I posted that if we are now in a situation where the rig strikes setting the hook for you we are one step away from just going fishing only to light the BBQ , it was tongue in cheek , but Ali thought it was hilarious 🤔

Wrong,there are grooves in the tube so you can tie it off with pva.This stops it springing open if using mesh bags or going for a big cast

After just watching it again, if you crack off/get snapped the fish is going to be towing that piece of plastic around with the two arms splayed open,perfectly positioned to get snagged/caught up in weed,branches and whatever else is on the bottom of a lake bed....ill be very suprised if any fishery allows this to be used
