I've decided to make my own version on the cheap. Simply obtain some large rawl plugs and permanently attach to lead and hooklink. This version has none the advantages of the original, (there are none to have), but it absolutely has the same disadvantages, and consequent potential lethality. It also makes dangerous fishing (not angling, clearly) considerably cheaper allowing more cash to be spent on overpriced hats. Winner winner......

Owner probably knows full well his members wouldnt use it anyway. Id imagine all members are vetted before being accepted to ensure they aint noddys. Id be very suprised if experienced/decent anglers would go anywhere near the twig.
Similar to when lakes ban or allow leadcore for instance. if you trust your anglers are all responsible then its usually allowed. (Im not comparing the twig to leadcore btw, just an example)

so basically the only people allowin it are fisheries that are mates with hamidi, fisheries that have shops onsite that sell omc stuff,ones he's phoned up and begged for it to be allowed and muddy **** holes where the owners don't give a ****

Agree , those allowing it are not doing so for the right reasons, and considering Grenville has rules that were meant to protect his stock it looks like fame , glory , and fortune has overcome them 🤔

OMG Please make it stop. Everyone's got a price so stop playing holier than thou... Money talks and these companies pay through the nose to fish that place during closures. the kind of money Grenville has had off Hamidi, I'm surprised he didn't throw in his wife.

Fact is the owner treats his fish like his Children so maybe, as he witnessed all of the fish Hamidi landed during his last visit to the lake, he has seen enough to be assured it is as safe as any other piece of end tackle we use, after-all that is what Hamidi keeps on preaching.
Not defending anything or anyone here, just playing Devils advocate.

It sounds very much like you are defending Spod.
As stated previously to you, he cannot be treating his "fish like his children" if he's happy to permit tethers to be chucked into the playground where they are skipping and playing ball.
Hiding behind the devil's advocate position is simply that, you are hiding behind a phrase, nothing more.
