Cheerrs shags, I just bought today a 3 set alarm ,can't wait to try them!

Can someone tell me ... On the brightest setting, are the LEDs visible in sunlight, and do the LEDs flash differently for a drop- back compared to a few bleeps forward?

High is bright enough for daytime, I only use the middle brightness, yes flash on drop back.

Yep, fixed latching forwards. Flashing for dropback. Also mirrored on the receiver.

Got them and had a play to get some idea of the range. Obviously new batteries in heads and receiver.

Clear line of sight between alarm and receiver - still working at 195m measured before running out of road.

Obstacles between alarm and receiver - 4ft thick laurel hedge, 2 parked cars - measured 80m still working fine.

Across 30 m including 2 trees, some bushes, ping pong table (folded) dog kennel (without dog) + concrete wall - still working fine.

I'd say the range is more than adequate.
