On reflection, I'm going to change my worse buys ever and insert the Spomb.
As great as the Spomb is for delivering large amounts of bait, I'm going to say that I've had it with them. From falling apart, to the whispy spring they put in them, they are s hite on a stick.
Not spombs fault this time around, I'm now on number 9 spomb this season and have lost it due to me attaching it to wire trace setup for my deeper and the catch un did itself which I made sure was 100% shut and locked, and it opened and resulted in me loosing yet another spomb. Just good luck it wasn't my new deeper chirp+.
I might be tempting fate, I use a fox spomb type thing as a back up. You know the one, the one that looks like a dart. Had that three seasons and it's still going strong. So there's a plus for fox, even though everything else they make is totally w ank.

I'll add the *'shimano'* trench barrow to the list. Frame all good, but the wheel assembly and bearings are utter shyte. It lasted 4 trips before the wheels collapsed, had to carry gear back to my van 500yds away. Spent near £190 on a re-design and getting it all fabricated. Not finished yet, waiting for the new axle to be turned then anodised. Hoping it will be worth it ..
*'shimano'* as I honestly do not believe Shimano had anything to do with this; more of a side project by a (UK?) team? I've ridden MTB then road bikes all my life and quite a few on Shimano groupsets, from LX/XT/105/ultegra/ dura ace etc, so why this trench barrow was passed off for manufacture with such a clear lack of engineering understanding is beyond me..

Got to agree with you there, wouldn't say it was the worst thing I've bought but I definitely prefer my dot spod

dot spod Is better than a spomb imo, just a shame they don't do a large version.

I gave up with. Spombs to much faffing gone back to spod much easier and a lot cheaper if you lose one

Spods just p iss me off. It's too long a process as you've got to sod about making sure.you leave it long enough on the money for it to deliver it's payload.
As much as I detest the snappy problems, spombs are heads and shoulders above the spod. Like they say, to each their own, so I'm not knocking
