I had the 18lb brown on my reels for about 6 sessions and during the last session, noticed it had gone very wiry, to the point that where I’ve now stripped it off.
The water I fish is particularly brutal on every brand of line I’ve ever used there. It’s a big clay reservoir full of rocks, stones, boulders, shale and mussels. There is a lot of waterborne particles and algae in the water and it seems to ruin any mainline within weeks, no matter the cost, to the point that I see absolutely no advantage in using any line more expensive than Daiwa Sensor, or Gardner Pro dark blend, so have just respooled with 15lb Sensor, which I already had new spools of in the cupboard. Incidentally, just looked on eBay and Sensor seems pretty much out of stock everywhere? Dunno if they’re discontinuing it maybe, seems like rocking horse poo!
