Totally agree been going for walks with the missus to try and keep reasonably fit while in lockdown, we are lucky to live right in the country, came out of a footpath to a windy road, on the left opposite a big Tudor Manor House complete with a mill, is a lake all fenced off with private signs up. It's right in the sticks with thick undergrowth so would be easy to poach at night but I'm too honest for that so I'm desperately trying to find the name of the person who manages the estate(the owner after a quick google search is some big shot businessmen currently doing time for tax evasion 😂
to see if I can negotiate permission to fish if they say no if I manage to locate a number then I will accept it not poach it.
The father in law knew the previous owner who never allowed fishing, despite it holding some sizeable carp(I have seen photos that the old gamekeeper had) and yes I did try contacted the old gamekeeper but he has no idea who is running it
