Patient numbers have already started creeping up and they have been warned to prepare for it to be "at least as bad" as last winter.
"I was hoping we wouldn't need to face any other winters like the one we faced last winter, and in the first wave of Covid," says ICU consultant Dr Rafik Bedair.
"Those were really, really difficult times. The hope was that with the vaccination programme that we would be able to avoid this."
But of the 11 Covid patients now in intensive care, nine have not been vaccinated. And the profile of patients has shifted, says Dr Bedair. They're a lot younger than they were in the previous waves. With our sounding disrespectful it seems you need to do some proper research for yourself
If you thought it was potentially fatal at the beginning, well unless your of pension age it was pretty clear from the off it wasn't.
The way we report deaths is like no other country( within 28 days) Personally i think they over egged it for scare factor but was too far down the road to go back on in once other countries weee reporting much lower
Testing, we test far more than any other country, little stat for you 14/12/20 285k test = 35k positives, 14/12/21 1.3m test which if we'd have done that many the year before on the same day would have been 300k positives. This is what drive me mad about MSM. There's no context
In regard to Boris and his business party's it's wrong on every level, but I doubt any of us stuck to the rules 100% by the letter of the law

I was in hospital this afternoon (check up on my eye).I asked about the covid ward and is it filling up now with all the omicron cases,the answer was nope not at all

It's fairly simple. Have you, like me and millions of other people taken part in any recreational drugs at some point. If so did you query it's source or did you just stick it straight up you hooter

To be fair bradders and I may have posted this on the now locked covid thread, around this time last year my 14 month old son was in hospital for 3 days. I wasn't allowed in only one parent was allowed. My missus asked why the dr and nurses wasn't wearing face mask basis what we were being told and what we was allowed to do. Their reply was there's not one case on covid In this hospital. Within two weeks when my son went back for a check up the very same nurses were all wearing masks. Again my missus asked why you wearing them now and they replied we are overrun with Covid and they were moaning they worked long shifts because they were short staffed as so many were off isolating

You could say that about anything, the food you eat, the liquids you drink, the difference being - I'll add vaccines into the equation here - have all passed specific safety standards and have been deemed safe to use, that's completely different to *this* vaccine that is still experimental and still in its trial phase and only being allowed to be used under emergency powers. Poor point.
