We shall not be venturing off our house/garden for some time to come, regardless of what restrictions are lifted. We have lost three friends and a cousin to Covid and we ourselves are in a high risk category so it's not worth it. We applied for a test kit several days ago. So far nothing received.

Sorry to hear that Ken.
Everyone is in a different position though, and don't have the luxury of being able to take a similar stance. Some need to get back to work to keep food on the table, others need to take action to protect their mental health, (anxiety and depression are increasing dramatically as is the suicide rate), others need to be able to escape abusive relationships etc so we all have our own situation and there's certainly not a one size fits all solution.
Sure there have been mistakes made by the Government but it is an unprecedented situation and Boris or anyone else for that matter have had to make very difficult decisions in a constantly changing situation. I am sure Comrade Corbyn or Kier Starmer being in charge would have been no different!

I appreciate what you are saying, Matt, and yes, if we were both still working we'd be out there earning a crust regardless. Sadly we are both well retired (10 years plus now) and our friends and my cousin were also over that 'certain' age so me and Tat are being very cautious.
