I've not gone and asked him, I can't see any particle company doing brilliantly this year or next, some things are about to go through the roof. and everyone needs to make a reasonable wage. no many at all fairing well in the bait trade behind doors. no matter what they say

I did just write a detailed reply but deleted it as I realised it doesn't matter what we all call ourselves as they aren't proper jobs according to some

I'm not so sure on that. I suspect that with the cost of things we may see quite a few angles switching towards particles rather than boiled bait, but then if people are worried about costs and surely they would make it themselves at home anyway. As superior product at a lower price.

Exactly people are realising that fresher, personally tweaked little particles are better.
I for one like to cook my hemp after a two day soak until it JUST starts to split, I like the majority of the seeds soft but unsplit.
On the other hand I like my maize to be fluffy.
And my tigers snotty

I don't think you can produce particle at home for as low a price as some of the deals that Monster were having. They were ridiculous, although by many accounts the service and quality was poor.
Hopefully the new owners (if this is true) can provide a happier medium with price/service/quality.

I think you're probably on to something there. If you asked most seasoned anglers, do you want junk particles at £1 a kilo or quality for £3 a kilo. I think most would pick quality and use a bit less. At least I hope so.

Absolutely. Why I still buy all my dried particle from Hinders. Not the cheapest by a long stretch but very rare you get junk. The prepared particle I wouldn't mind trying is the Fishon stuff, but I'm pretty sure it's collection only and a 2 hour drive in the wrong direction from my lake.
Preparing your own is all part of the fun isn't it?

I've been sent photos on 3 separate occasions of vermin / mite damaged tigers in 3/5kg type pouches from them. Majority of tge bag as well so shouldn't of made it past QC.
Certainly a shadow of the quality I used to see when it was an independent shop that's for certain. But with the whole bait / shop operation ran by angling direct now it was only a matter of time.
Sorry for turning it political but I'd love for a smalll quality independent seed merchant to get back into the game.

In all honesty I don't pay any attention to the fishing company ownership merry-go-round so had no idea.
I've still been happy with both the service and the quality, if that stays the same they could be owned by Walmart for all of the difference it makes to me. It's the way of the world unfortunately.
If you are telling the truth I admire your Ed Snowden spirit Mozzi, but I'm surprised you have any friends left!

I've recently got some bits from hinders, and the tigers are absolutely sh1te. They won't slime up ,they barely swell up, and take an absolute age to get to soften even slightly. The hemp is ok, as are the tares . But I can get decent hemp and tares locally so I won't be using hinders again.
