I go Thursday, you have to upload all your documentation on the eurotunnel API, so rather than thinking you might get spot checked there's going to be a system notification highlighting the fact you haven't done it.

As stated it's all up front now and system driven. I uploaded the covid test and my sworn statement the wrong way around and they wouldn't even let me through until i'd spoken to someone 2 weeks ago. Just got a big no on the touch screen!!! Not sure if your friend got vaccinated now there would be enough time between the jab and travel now anyway. Without a compelling reason to travel he will be refused unvaccinated.

In relation to the sworn statement when does that have to be dated. Want to get it uploaded ASAP but seems pointless if I do it today and then went out mixing with the infected- doesn't seem to be any guidance

Im travelling out in June so I realise it could very well change before then , but under the current rules where would I stand in regards to only having my vaccinations and no boosters?

Is the criteria to have had all the boosters too or just the initial vaccines ?

Vaccinated people ✅
From Saturday 12 February 2022 onwards, vaccinated people do not need to take any COVID-19 travel tests before they travel to France from the UK.
Prior to departure, vaccinated people authorized to enter France from the UK will have to present to the transport company (depending on their situation):
1. Proof of vaccination
⚠️ Since 1 February 2022, in order for their vaccination schedule to continue to be recognised as complete, persons aged 18 years or older wishing to enter French territory must have received a booster dose of messenger RNA vaccine no later than nine months after receiving the last mandatory dose.
2. A sworn statement
A sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms and of any contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to their crossing.

On the current rules, depends when you had your 2nd jab. I think if it's more than 5 months ago, you are not considered fully vaccinated. So if you had your 2nd jab before Feb this year, you will need a booster before you go

Are you still classed as fully vaccinated if you've had your booster jab more than 9 months after the second jab?

I've had both jabs but not the booster yet and have no plans on getting the booster. I'm going to France on the 23rd of July and was hoping the rules would change by then that the booster won't be required but if nearer the time it's still required then I'd begrudgingly have it done. I had my second jab on the 8th of July 2021 so only gives me 2 weeks to get the booster for it to be done less than 9 months after the second jab

I don't really want the booster, but would have it a couple of weeks or so before my trip if it was still required but was wondering where that would leave me on being “fully” vaccinated

Proof of vaccination status
France will accept the UK's proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record at the border. The French government recognises any vaccination certificates which conform to the EU Digital Covid Status Certification framework, illustrating that you are fully vaccinated with a vaccine authorised by the European Medical Authority. This means your final vaccine dose must have been administered at least 7 days prior to travel for Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna or 28 days after a second dose of Johnson & Johnson. For details on how to demonstrate your COVID-19 status in domestic settings in France, see the Coronavirus page. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.

Travellers aged 18 and over who had their full vaccine course over 9 months ago and have not since received a COVID-19 vaccine booster must follow the rules for unvaccinated passengers to enter France (see below).

Time between 2nd jab and booster is irrelevant. If you have had the booster, you are considered fully vaccinated, as far as France is concerned. Just don't leave it till a week before, need to allow time for the NHS app to be updated with your booster jab. I heard it takes up to 2 weeks to update.

I was In France 3 weeks ago and all i needed was proof of two jabs not the booster ! If i did need a booster to go , then i would not have gone over simple as that .... If you are using Eurostar make sure you download the two pdf's of your vaccine proof prior to arrival at Folkestone. There is a link at the bottom of the API form.

That saves you the hassle of having to go in to the terminal, and show your vaccine proof to get your wind screen pass on the train. Do the same obviously for your return from Calais ! I was surprised just how easy it was to get over there and fully expected hassle at the check points but no it was just like the old days !!

Hope this helps !

Currently out in France, my mate who is unvaccinated got out fine just needed to fill the unvaccinated form out for the tunnel and upload it. Also I haven't had the booster and that wasn't required either.
Are you sure?
