So if that water said 15lb minimum breaking strain and they say that should be 0.35mm,what would happen if I was using fox exocet in 16lb but its only 0.33mm.I have met the requirements on breaking strain but not diameter.They should state diameter not b/strain as the rule

My syndicates say 0.35 minimum - they reference 15lb as a guide buy No super thin wonder lines. In otherwords its all about diameter

I don't use it for distance as it's a small water , I think 12lb is sufficient for the fish I'm targeting singles , doubles and possibly one or two twenties , yes it's weedy but not excessively . I'm using 11ft baby Ballistas 2.5 tc .I use 15lb for a larger weedier water I fish , different tackle for different waters . I'm sure I used to use 8lb Sylcast when I started fishing for carp , how things have changed .

8lb Sylcast sorrel or Maxima with a shock leader for long distance!
