A heads up about booking guys. I believe your travel insurance will not pay out unless you have booked individually. If, like lots of us, one member of the group take it on his (or her) self to make the booking on behalf of the group and collects the money etc. and sends it to the lake in their name, only they will be covered if the lake cancel or travel is not allowed. Best to make absolutely sure before booking the lake in this way.

We did book it as a group but we had drop outs so to make things simple we had a designated lead party, we had the full package but ended with drive and survive only

Well guys great info on the group and feedback well appriciated - i think we have got good news, got new date for next year, same time end april. They wanted full payment to secure booking on top of the deposit we already paid.we offered a further part payment to the full cost (knowing that they might be struggling with finances to get through the year) with the rest to be paid 8 weeks before we travel. I think that is the best we could have hoped for
We have all agreed with this roll on next year

Because we can see every day that vaccines dont protect you from getting infected and spreading the virus, especially new strains, they only give false sense of security... We now have homes for elderly people where 95% of people are vaccinated and are now again all getting infected with south african strain. Yes vaccine protects them to a point they dont develop strong symptoms and many more live but they are still infected and can spread the virus. Second there will not be enough vaccine for everybody for next year or two at least as after cca 8 month people have to get vaccinated again and there are new stronger strains coming out almost "every day" (vaccines dont follow that at all at the moment). Most important it goes against so many human rights, it is discriminating on so many levels etc etc... One thing this corona passports are good for is calming people down and buying governments time... people seek hope at the moment and things like this are perfect psychological tools to achieve that... it is like boris saying you will maybe be allowed to travel after may 17t or that famous we only have to hold on for another 14 days, maybe 1 month... and now we are 1 year+ in those 14 days... and also some countries already declared that they dont support the idea. Of course that is only my opinion, maybe I should make that more clear in my previous statement. What we really need is better, faster and more efficient testing If you ask me. 1 year+ in governments still dont have any good future plans, they are just killing small fires and work on lockdowns... we all see how that works... as soon as we let it go it comes back... Again just my opinion and speaking general on virus not for specific country/nation.
