Thanks, I bought the nano pod and I have 12ft rods, when I got it I couldn't believe how small it was. Think I will defo get the micro bar.

I had the old 316 pod but now have the micro pod as well as the nano pod bar with 2 plus 1 I use Basia on mine and opted for two fronts as although the rear fitted it was too tight for my
I tend to use the micro bar most of the time even with my 12”6 rods and once pegged down it's very solid
I had the 316 super compact pod before and think it's very good bit of kit particularly if you use it with just stick as a two rod pod but I changed to the black and wouldn't look back
Ps Andy in one pic it looks like you've adapted yours todo you a get tips really high almost like the zero 290 pod they make how did you do that?

Glad I saw this post, I'm going to order a pair of 2+1's and I'm currently using 5500 baby big pits so I'd imagine the rear and front combo would work but I'm thinking in the future if I changed the reels a pair of fronts would be a better option to begin?

I ve got 5500 shimanos and have front and rear and they're fine, ive also got emblem 45s and although tight can also fir them in without folding handles on front and rear..so it's up to you

AHH ok then maybe still an option, I don't want to fold handles now or in the future so with what you have mentioned I should think I'd be ok.

So I've received my 2 plus 1's today that I've ordered from my local store (one front and one rear). The front buzz bar is perfect however the rear I'm going to have to return.
If I removed the Allen bolts from the bottom to install the snag convertors they are too long and ugly for my liking so I have installed them into my bank sticks. The problem is the front buzz bar has Allen bolts from both sides so when the lower one is removed it's still intact. The rear buzz bar unfortunately doesn't have the internal Allen bolt so they are no longer fixed in place.
I'm not sure if I'm unlucky and the rear bar hasn't finished being manufactured or if that's the way they are, the reason I'm unsure id it's for flats both sides which would indicate the intention to fit an Allen bolt. I'm just not sure if I'm going to order another front buzz bar as I know that will work, if I can confirm the rears not finished correctly then I can order another rear bar.

The snag adapter is just a small bit of threaded bar that screws into the bottom of the buzzer bar. It takes two seconds to fit and doesn't require any disassembly.
I'm going fishing today with mine. I will take a look at them and see if I can work out if mine are different in any way.

Hi thanks for the reply I appreciate this is confusing.
I haven't touched the inside/upper Allen bolts as I have no need but the outside/lower ones that are removed to install the snag adapters, the front bar works fine with the factory issued Allen bolt left out so I can fit bank sticks when/if required as I've pre-installed the snag adapters into the bank sticks. If the snag adapters are left installed in the 2+1 buzz bars when not in use say when using stage stands they appear unaesthetic. Yes you are correct I could just use the Allen key and swap on the bank but I'd prefer to have everything ready to go. Ah. I see what you mean now. I just leave the snag adapters fitted all the time. Maybe you could source a little black cap as a cover and then leave them fitted? I'm guessing spraying them black might cause issues?

Ive used jag prolite since it came out, i lost my first prolite grey set of 3 rod buzz bars, i bought the black set of fixed bars but even the narrowest is to wide for my liking. It seems like the only way to get a narrow 3 rod buzz bar is to get these but i really dislike the look of them. It seems worlds away from the style of how the prolite looked when it started.
Anyone know why they dont make a more narrow fixed 3 rod buzz bar anymore?

Well I could fit a snag adapter thread protector which is only available in 316 stainless but the treads are still too long as I've tried one in the shop tonight.
So I spoke to JAG it's turns out that my front buzz bar is an old one and the rear a new revised one.
The old has x4 Allen bolts/grub screws ...the new has x2 (lower/outside). I asked JAG regards to a shorter snag adapter they said maybe in the future.
So I'm going to cut down my existing snag adapters and for the thread protector's to finish them off.

Can anyone advise me on how to use these buzz bars goalpost please? I see there is an Allen key grub screw on either end of the bars, do these undo and then you screw a thread in? Not sure if I need to get down the gym but I can't seem to get them undone!
