I've fished the front lake on the place the video was shot and even then 30 odd years ago they had otters on there.
Honestly thought it was a brilliant film, very different to the normal Alan we see. Nash have massively upped their game on the media front this year
Haven't watched the film but listened to a bit of the podcast that supports it.
Alan Blair has some cheek moaning about the fact that every lake in the UK is over exposed and rammed these days. With the exception of the Korda Klub I can't think of anyone who has contributed more to the mass popularity of carp fishing.
Great for his own bank balance but cr** for the rest of us.
The genie can't go back in the bottle now but for myself and most I fish with the world was a simpler and better place before YouTube.

The 'blame' for the popularity of carp fishing lies squarely with Len Middleton. Without the hair rig carp fishing would still be ignored by most.

Thought it was a brilliant video , although I don't believe for one minute he is the only angler to put a hook in a carps mouth there.
Makes a change where a video is not a constant plug on tackle and bait.

He did say (may have been in his podcast supporting the video) that there was someone else fishing at the same time, and the odd person had fished it before. Just very very lightly fished

I though it was a good video for highlighting the reality many lakes face. I watch some of the Nash stuff, as it is ok to watch. I guess my issue is with Alan. Its not that I dislike him, but he has that air about him, much like Ali, that just reeks of marketing and sales and I struggle to take him seriously, even when talking of serious issues.

I'm not sure on how Otters hunt , but surely they move on before they start using more energy to catch food than they get. So that woul lend itself to waters retaining stock ?

Whether we like it or not, almost every single one of these videos is all about marketing products and brands. Otherwise it wouldn't be worth the investment for the brands and we wouldn't have as much available to us as we do now

based on the comments here I might actually watch this one. I cant usually stand Nash videos, if I want to listen to a load of chemically charged blokes calling each other geez and bruv then I will wander down to the local boozer and hang out with the football hooligans and ask them to throw on a bit of generic drum n bass on the juke box.
Hopefully someone at Nash might have finally realised that occasionally its not a bad idea to put out some content thats not aimed at twelve year olds who think that carp fishing was invented last week and that the centre of the universe is Linear fisheries.

Nash's niche was the Eurobanx videos. I don't think they have even gone down the Linear route until recently? To be honest, I think with getting Martin Bowler and John Timmermans on board, they may be starting to move away from the Euro/Urban banx era. Dare I say it, I get the feeling Mr Blair is starting to lose a bit of "fizz" for it all. Will be interesting to see where they take things next, because lets face it, we've seen enough about Bled. I have seen that church more than the one I got married in, and once was enough.

Watched this because of this thread. I normally skip past anything with Alan Blair, but this was very respectfully made, without any of that God awful idiot music. I enjoyed it. I do think 90% of Carl anglers are blind/don't care though. Many are happy to fish for fish that were stocked last week, so it makes no odds to them.
