I had a standard Typhoon in DPM, just not ripstop for 2 years. I didn't do anything different with it, and this didn't happen with it.

For a minute I thought that was my bivvy lol, I have put it down to putting it away wet but probably just poor quality really. I've got the skull wrap on mine so not really a problem. Thankfully I didn't pay too much for it amd will probs get only a couple of seasons out of it.

Actually no I took the vapour shield out of my other bivvy because my head touched it as it was too low.. I hadn't thought of that !

Plasti Dip 11217 Removable Spray Film, Camo Green
Search amazon for the above. You'll need probably 4 cans to redo the coating on the inside of the bivvy. Fabsil on the outside is a waste of time.
Spray thin layers, let it dry and then additional coats.
This will work and reseal the bivvy but you must be patient with drying after spraying it. Cans need to be warm ish (not cold) and shake vigorously for 2 mins before spraying.
You can get different colours cheaper but then you'll need to Spray all of it or just ignore the look.
I had a dpm one, had the same issue, I repeatedly asked nicely until they gave me this solution and tbh it did work
I own a Green mh typhoon now and tbh they are brilliant bivvies but just avoid the dpm or have some cans handy. You must dry it before putting additional coats on or packing it away so now maybe isn't a great time do it!
