A local lake I fish has a no dog biscuit/only floating trout pellet rule.

Only issue is having tried two brands (Sonubaits & CC Moore) am finding that they both sink pretty quickly. Find neither really sit above the surface at all and tend to sink after maybe 5 minutes. With a hook it's even worse so neither really works as a hookbait, which a bore as ideally would use the same pellet for both feed and hookbait.

Can anyone recommend a really buoyant trout pellet brand that stays up on the top for a good bit and works as a hookbait?

Cut down pop-up/wafter is ok as a hookbait, but they're too expensive to use as feed.

Even then I still find carp often reject trimmed boilies as they inevitably differ a bit in size/shape/colour/buoyancy to feed. Why I generally prefer to use the same hookbait as what I'm feeding (maybe with a little bit of colour on top or slice of boilie to mark it out to me.
