the bait game has got to be one of the most un regulated "pet food" sector about.
roll it, bag it, call it what you like, garden shed business can pretty much do what they like within the bait game

Frenzy, its not even the shed rollers that are anywhere near as bad as some businesses. stock on the floor, cross contamination of ingredient ( before mixing purposefully ) mould, I get that its actually quite difficult and annoying if you have slogged all day rolling bait to clean down, but it has to be done.
Currently the only things you "need" and I use the term loosely as checks don't seem to happen that often at all, is an ABP3 license ( ABP1 if using fresh fish etc ) and FSA registration. ( I get you know about this from your work ). thing is checks aren't made that often at all.
But you don't even need them to get an EORI number, thankfully nowadays you need a vet to sign off each shipment going to europe.
It's different rules for those who only roll pop ups, as they're considered lures, not animal feed.
I've been in places were there is nothing but blue roll to clear up, boiling water is used two days running, even a chest freezer so mouldly it looks like it'll sprout legs and start cleaning itself out of protest.

I think that's a good deal. It's definitely not the same bait I was buying originally from Baitcraft however it's been out fishing the Mainline I've been fishing it against this winter and the pop ups and wafters are all good quality. The cow cola seems to be the same as the original.
