Non vaccinated people ❌
Prior to departure, non vaccinated people authorized to enter France from the UK will have to present to the transport company (depending on their situation):
1. A compelling reason
Non-vaccinated people will be required to have a compelling reason to travel to or from the UK. These reasons are listed at the following address: https://www.interieur.gouv.fr/Actualites/L-actu-du-Ministere/Attestation-de-deplacement-et-de-voyage. Being French is a compelling reason to return to France. French people's partners (spouses, PACS partners or cohabiting partners (on presentation of proof of cohabitation)) and their children will still be able to travel to France.
2. A negative PCR (less than 72h) or TAG test less than 48 hours old
Travellers (12 years old or more) have to provide the result of a negative PCR (less than 72h) or antigen test (in paper or digital format) carried out less than 48h hours prior to departure.
Self-administered tests whose results are not certified by an approved private test provider (e.g. free tests provided by the NHS) are not authorized for travel. The NHS has stated that it will not carry out any tests for the purposes of travel. People should therefore use private organizations providing a similar service. No specific tests exist which are linked to the new variant identified.
Day 2 tests may be used for your return to France if they comply with the time criteria (less than 72/48 hours old) and contain the necessary information (type of test, date and time, name of laboratory, your full name and date of birth etc.).
The UK authorities are updating a list of centres permitted to carry out COVID-19 testing. This list can be viewed at: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/list-of-private-providers-of-coronavirus-testing/list-of-private-providers-of-coronavirus-testing.
N.B. We also strongly advise you to contact your travel operator to find out more about their travel requirements.

I was on the understanding that if you've had all 3 jabs you don't need to do any test to enter France
Fill in the paperwork etc but no pcr/antigen test

Any changes come into effect yesterday?

Just seen this - From 4am on Friday (March 18) the law on filling out passenger locator forms for those arriving in the UK will be lifted, as will all testing requirements for those arriving into the country.
We are heading out to France on the euro tunnel next Friday, there are 2 vans and a car going out, one guy is unvaccinated and is travelling with me. If they don't let him through could we move our kit into the other van for him to drive my van home even though it's under my booking and I'm not a named passenger on the the other bookings? Can you add a passenger on the spot or would I have to take my van though and he would have to get a lift home?

He has a week to get vaccinated, or you don't take him. Or he could hire a vehicle and take his own risks. Their is nothing unknown or new and surprising here. I doubt anyone could give you a definitive answer as to how Eurostar or customs will respond to your alternatives.
