Spool prices will vary and I imagine the actual cost to make any spool is low. Pricing will be based on the price of the reel its for.
For example a 500 quid basia would look like a rip of if the spool cost just 15 quid.
There maybe differences in the material costs but generally I think they are all machined from solid stock. Casting could be too brittle and has the potential for porosity etc.

Yeah it's a crock of poo. I might try and knock up some spring loaded clips for it.

I need to have a proper look at them but it should a case of simply turning some new ones up a lathe at work.

Just had a look at mine I think you can use the same conversion as they use on the emblems/ gs 3000 and 4000s - south coast reel conversions do a self fit ones there's a vid on there website?? Anyone else converted there ninja line clip, such a lovely reel with a crap clip😤

It looks like it might be too big and need filing down to fit properly. I might buy one to see if it works
