I like wearing Camo , so much so that I have now moved on to wearing Camo Face paint ,hoping not only the fish wont spot me on the bank , but also people coming into my swim .

Both Matt Hayes and Max Cottis wore tee shirts for pics of specific fish. Max Cottis even mentions it on an old video.
Black for commons
Red for mirrors.
It was to show off the fish and their scale patterns to best effect on photos.
As for cammo as an ex squaddie I tend to avoid it unless it's something that has been bought for a specific purpose - ie a set of ex army goretex waterproofs that come in only cammo pattern.
Doesn't bother me what other people wear but I do think being clad head to foot in Realtree on a cross channel ferry does make you stick out like a bellend

Il be honest, most of my fishing clothes are purchased by the missus as stocking fillers or small items for birthdays etc.... Therefore I do own and wear camo but also wear other dark coloured clothing....it dead son the weather to what I wear when I go fishing.....
If it's your money and you like camo items then what's the problem in buying them.....I don't like skinny jeans but haven't got an issue with other people wearing them......

Sometimes you have to bend the rules a bit, and camo/green/dark colours can be handy.

I personally don't give two hoots what people use or wear. If they think it makes them look the part then happy days. Each to their own.
My only concern is the constent reinventing that some tackle compainies do each year just to sell sell and more sell. Lots of anglers I know change perfectly good kit just for the latest products.
That in my opinion is what is damaging the planet and our natural world and will one day come back and bite us carp anglers right in the as*
