Again something peculiar about the fishing industry is that a lot of these people running a "cottage" industry, (there are many examples) consistently provide appalling service yet get a free pass..... baffling.....

Well past the 180 days time limit for Paypal claims.
A "Chargeback" may be possible up to 540 days later if Paypal was funded by certain cards.

writing here seems to have triggered some events..
Yesterday F.R Custom reels has posted something about "problems" on his facebook page; basically he has created an email address (problem@custom-reels.de) and is asking anyone who has had any problems to write to the aforementioned address. It could be a start in the direction to solve all the problems, or it could be a way to take more time.. will see.
TBH there's still a part of me that thinks that he's only disorganized and not a bad person and I hope that this situation ends well. Will put some updates later.. I hope..

no, I have not received my package, nor my money back. Frank doesn't answer to the phone, doesn't answer to my whatsapp messages or calls.. but if I ask some friends to write him, he will answer in few minutes!! Do you remember the "problem@custom-reels.de" thing? Yeah, you guessed it, all you will get from writing to that address is an automated email:

A brand new "custom hand made rod pod made in Germany". This is the new version, not the old one I was supposed to get. Who wants to try to get it? Solid product, all you have do is pay and wait.. wait... wait a little bit more...The next month it will be 1 year for me.
Honestly, I know I will never get the items I ordered and paid for; there's no reason for letting someone wait 1 year, except steal his money.
I hope no one is treated the way I was, anyway guys, be careful.

Tripod ordered & paid in June, only once answer to the question when delivery would take place,
but no further answer to emails or delivery(date).
After three months started claim with Paypal and immediate response that delivery was delayed due to missing materials, this would be solved the same week.
They now stated: Tripod was only going to be delivered when claim was withdrawn.
However, if you withdraw a claim, your complaint will lapse and it cannot be reactivated.
Strange way of doing business, so went on one step further with the claim.

Reading all of this thread I've come to the conclusion that not just anyone can talk to Frank as Frank needs a word with himself first.

Neither do I. There's something wrong with this dude and it's not about comms.
Some time ago I even asked a friend to write him and ask for the new tripod, pretending to be interested in buying one: "ready to be built after payment" he said.

I experienced it aswel. Absolutely shocking! Said he'd posted item 3 x and Blamed customs. I think he's full of horse!! Ended up commenting on few posts and soon got a refund
