You can't claim from the courier company as their contract was with Eric's.

However if you paid by card, contact the credit card or bank as appropriate.

As the purchase was for less than £100 the credit card company isn't legally obliged to repay you but in most cases they will under the "chargeback" scheme. Chargeback also applies to all debit card transactions whatever the value.

If you paid by PayPal contact them.

Hang on ? the courier are claiming they delivered it ? I would be disputing the signature with the courier company ?

I have tried to dispute it with them but every time I speak to them they basically say they will send the driver round to the address he “delivered” it to but nothing happens. I even waited in for him/her one day but he never turned up then he told his boss he spoke to my mrs, apparently she was in her dressing gown and he knows her from school.

Best part 1 she was at work, 2 nobody even came to the house because I waited in all day and 3 my mrs went to school in a different country lol (mrs dad was in the forces)

Uk mail just said they wasn't willing to send them round again and Eric's then said they basically believe the courier, also there was nothing they could do about it because they have proof it was delivered

As for our time sheets they didn't even want to no about it just glad it was “only” £40 and not something more expensive like rods, reels or a bivvy etc

Report to the credit card company as non delivered goods . They will resolve it

Ordered some leadcore Monday and still not arrived shocking service support your local tackle shop just have to venture out for certain things

How does the driver even know the signature!?? Surely it can't be anywhere near from a guess!??

Ordered quite a few items from AD no problems whatsoever always arrived within the said time limit.

Have a look at AD's share price, dropped like a stone recently....

No it's nothing like my mrs signature they just signed it “B Hill” even mentioned this but wasn't taken seriously, I spoke to PayPal (how I paid) and they even said they can open a case but Eric's have a signature from the courier to say my mrs signed for it, I've come to realise I've lost the money now just won't use them again did really piss me off though that they wouldn't argue the fact with the courier that we wasn't in even after I said I could prove we wasn't in they just didn't seem to care

I'd give the courier company a week or say you'll get the police involved. It's theft, plain and simple. Courier companies don't like having a thief in the ranks, albeit you should go above the local depot manager's head.

Don't just lay down and forget about it mate £40 or £400 steeling is steeling and it's not right. The person that faked the signature needs bringing to justice. Utter scum

I once answered the door to a courier that I'd kept waiting (I was on the karzi!). He was halfway back to his van when I at last answered the door. The parcel was lying on the door step. I asked him if he wanted me to sign his electronic gizzmo. He told me that he'd already done it!

I bought a 43" tv in the sales waited for it to be delivered then in the afternoon got a text saying your TV has been delivered ?
I of course got in touch with the courier company who sent a picture of the box on the doorstep of a house with a red door I sent them back a picture of my blue front door ! it was delivered 20.00 that evening to me
