I use the mk3 12" 3.25 classics. Absolutely love them. They aren't casting rods. I can whack a 3.5oz lead out to 30 wraps but that's pushing it and there isn't much control or accuracy to it. Where they really shine though is playing fish. Hence why they feel soft. They are also excellent zig rods.
I was lucky to pick up a set of 3 12'9s 3.5tc 2nd hand a few months ago in like new condition for £400. Bargain. They discontinued the 3.5 in this length a while back.
