This ain't a dig, but if something needs to be dried to be put away it isn't fit for purpose. If you do work nights or get caught out packing away this isn't always easy to do.
I'd prefer them to be able hassle free in all weathers and scenarios. Why personally I use non adjustable bank wear

Hi, I contacted jag a couple of years ago about a pro lite grey bank stick thumbscrew that I had stripped. I think it was Tom got back to me and said he would look for a replacement, then all went quiet. Is this something that you could possibly help with?

packing away wet isn't the issue, packing away wet and leaving it for prolonged periods I would imagine is what causes the problems

If the thread in the collar is stripped then I'm afraid the outer of the stick is dead. If it's the thread on the thumbscrew then it can be repaired. But I guess it's the former. The grey finished production many years ago so I couldn't be confident if we'd have anything left to replace the outer with. That said, what length is the stick and I'll ask Simon who lovingly builds them all to see if he can find one for you. I'll also have a root around in my garage but can't promise anything. With regards the communication going quiet then that's our bad, sorry. I'll pm you what our hunt reveals.

Not fit for purpose is a little harsh. My kit gets plenty wet but I'd always try to dry it out when at home. Nothing worse that mouldy stinky kit. We use to make Prolite Grey Fixed sticks when the range was first launched, I loved them as they were super sturdy and cost effective if lacking versatility. But take up on them was weak so we dropped them.

Might have been the wrong words, but fishing tackle is outdoor tooling. It needs to be able to deal with all conditions in my opinion.
And I agree I always try to dry kit out but it's not always possible, and to think the next time I used the item it was seized or broken then it's not ideal. And I mean that about any item of tackle.

Never dried a single bit of kit in 40 years, nothing ever let me down.

I took off all the levers and brass threads. Gave them a clean up and blob of grease and they are all working sweet again.

Thanks for the reply, it's actually the thumbscrew itself that's gone. I managed to steal one from my stage bites and that works fine with the bank stick, but leaves me short of one on the stage bite.
Just out of interest, what are the thread size/ pitch? I may be able to run a thread chaser if it's metric.
