Do not worry about a bag being too large, they are better if they are especially with a large compartment. When its time to move and you need to be in a hurry, you can just ram stuff in quick into the main compartment without having to pack things away folded and carefully so it fits.

I use "Alice Packs", the large and the medium and find them ideal especially the large one as it has 6 pockets on the outside with a very large inside compartment, the medium only has 3 outside pockets and a 4th in the top flap.. But they can be pricey, I was lucky as I used them in the army and kept mine.

I use the Gardner Specialist for roving/stalking. Ticks all the boxes for me
